These 2 photos where taken same time same day...different angles and one framed. However I like the detail in the above shot more and wish I would have played with the shot more.
This is my favorite landscape of the weekend! It's the shot I look forward to taking every year. Even with most of our squad missing this year we still managed to take up two parking spots. We all cram shoulder to shoulder to watch the parade in Woodsville NH. We dress up and look tacky, we embody the red, white, and blue. There is more than just tradition, more than memories; it's our future too. It's the ones who jump for candy that will one day remember these times with family and wake at a ridiculous hour, gather their offspring and come spend this time with the ones who love them most....Family
First off I have to say that I really love how you took two photos at the same time of day and yet, you captured very different photos. I like the first of the two, there seems to be a dark halo around the mountains that seem to highlight it. The second photo really pops! The way the colors are highlighted are amazing. The layout of the photo is unique, it seems as if its naturally in thirds. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is absolutely awesome. It really has vibrant color and a strong sense of depth. If you could, crop the image so that the horizon line is either on the upper third or the lower third and see what happens. I think you'll be rather happy with the results. Now that you are using Photoshop, this should be easy after just a couple tries.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is way too dark. I can tell that if the light were right, it would've been a beautiful photograph. The other two mountain photographs, you placed the horizon in the center of the photograph.
One thing you have to remember is that when we are viewing something, our range of focus is very tiny. This is how we can pick out a distant mountain from the rest of the view… We basically ignore what is around us in order to focus in on that one thing.
The range of focus for a camera is as wide as the lens can capture. So, we have to be selective in what we choose to capture on a photograph in order to make it interesting for a person to look at because in a photograph everything takes equal weight if it is all in focus.
