After Struggling with GIMP I've come to realize I need to re download it. I have lost all my tool bars :( here is a photo that I cropped, color corrected, and filtered. Below is a similar photo, the original one is permanently over wrote :/ but you get the drift....
Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI'm not used to Gimp ( I had photoshop on my last computer before it crashed and I didn't want to pay for it again :/) and found it a little hard to navigate and get used to! I really like your first photo. I like that you used the rule of thirds and had the people off to the left, I also like the way the green background seems to be blurred, that helps to draw your eyes to the subject
yes gimp is a run for me some nights but the blur to the grass is actually color correction that I used to take out the blue thing and the pole in the background. :)
DeleteThese photos are beautiful. Both the unedited and the edited version. The cropped photo makes this scene very intimate. And by adding the vignette around the edges, it softens everything. The only suggestion I would have for it is to include a little bit more on the left-hand side so that you're not cropping off the person's body parts.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're having such a struggle with GIMP, the only suggestion I have is to look up more tutorials online and to just play with it. As far as the tools go, the problem could have been that you shut them off by accident. Check out this page… It might be able to help you --> http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-concepts-docks.html
